I’m a multi-disciplinary designer, art director and project manager with over 15 years of experience in a wide range of fields, from editorial design to UI and illustration. I have worked for some of the largest global brands including Nike, American Express, Microsoft, Virgin Mobile, and 3M.
Currently, as Design Team Lead at Innovation, Science and Economic Development, I am responsible for the scheduling, art direction and resource allocation of a team of four designers and one photographer providing graphic support to four cabinet ministers, multiple government sectors as well as internal communications campaigns.
From 2014 to 2017 I served as Manager of Design Services at High Road Communications, supervising a team of three designers, producing estimates, balancing the team’s resource allocation, collaborating in strategic planning, budgeting and execution of projects as well as providing art direction and ensuring brand standards were observed. I implemented the project management tool “Teamweek” to track the team’s availability and find scheduling efficiencies, this resulted in a notable improvement of the resource allocation. I also led the expansion of the team by conducting recruitment efforts as well as hiring and overseeing freelance contractors for specific high-pressure projects. These responsibilities also involved individual coaching as well as annual performance reviews.
I have designed financial and corporate social responsibility reports for First National Bank, Canadian Tire and Sun Life Financial. I led the multichannel campaign, “The Health Gap” for the Women’s College hospital. This involved coordinating and assuring the quality of parallel deliverables for bus shelters, billboards, special features for the Toronto Star print edition, social media posts and a custom fundraising microsite. I am versed in UI, having prototyped, conceptualized and designed web and mobile experiences for major clients such as Magna International, and CBRE among many others. More recently, I directed the design component of a public relations campaign for a multi-billion dollar Government of Canada procurement initiative.
In 2016, my work for the mobile gaming studio Ludia was recognized with the Canadian Public Relations Society’s Award of Excellence and a Silver Award from the Société Québécoise de Professionnels en Relations Publiques.
